Dores Beach

This circular walk starting at the Dores Inn will take you along the pebble beach, where you can enjoy amazing views of Loch Ness. Follow the woodland path along the shore line to Aldourie and around Torr Point to return to the Dores Inn. A great walk to spot wildlife such as red squirrels.

Fort Augustus

Lying on the impressive 60 mile long Caledonian Canal, halfway between Inverness and Fort William, Fort Augustus offers spectacular views down Loch Ness and is a paradise for keen walkers and cyclists with many beautiful walks around the area, the most popular being the Great Glen Way.

Cawdor Castle dates from the late 14th century, built as a private fortress by the Thanes of Cawdor. An ancient medieval tower built around the legendary holly tree.

The Wildcat Trail

The trail passes along the banks of three rivers, including the great River Spey, through a gorge and past a waterfall. You will see magnificent views of the Cairngorm & Monadhliath Mountains.
